Very nice, clean and away from major road noise. Room well laid out. Bed very comfortable. We'll be back.
The most adorable hotel I've ever stayed in. Has a very cute Grand Budapest Hotel vibe to it. The host was very friendly and supplied a lovely selection of board games, including "Lake City-opoly," a monopoly-alike board game with local establishments. My only complaints would be that their radiator is only for heating, not air conditioning, and the bathroom is rather small. I'm sure I speak for all dirtbag hikers when I say that I'd prefer a bath tub but all that was available was a standing shower. A great experience overall, would definitely recommend.
We paid extra to book a room with a kitchenette; however, the pilot light wouldn't light. When I rang the doorbell at the main office, I heard a lady yelling at her dogs inside, but she never answered the door. Overall, we were extremely disappointed that we paid extra for the kitchenette that we weren't able to enjoy; plus, we never had contact with the manager/employee on site during our entire stay to address our issue despite hearing her inside the office.
Very clean. Very friendly office. Could use small table inside and extension cord for outlet access. Beautiful and quiet area off main drag, but close to everything.
Great location, right down the street from the ice park. Very cute little motel. A very homey feel. GREAT HOT TUB! Perfect for relaxing after a day of climbing. Very clean. The showers are a bit "cozy". Towels were provided specifically for gear wipe down and shoe trays for wet/dirty boots/shoes. A very nice touch. Much love for this lovely little motel in Lake City.
